At the end of last year
we felt like we were on track to ensure Year 12 students graduating from
Pioneer did so with success. With much pride, we can celebrate the fact that
99.3% of our Seniors received their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).Last year’s Year 12s
were the most successful group of OP-eligible students to have graduated from
Pioneer in recent memory with nearly 20% of our Year 12s receiving an OP
between 1 and 5, and a further 26% receiving an OP between 6 and 10.
Of course, most credit
for this success should go to the hard work of our students.
Importantly, we will
continue to take whatever steps are required to support our current Year 12s to
ensure they also achieve their utmost potential.
During 2017 we
will:
- Continue to
offer after-school tutoring in Science, English and Maths.
- Run the
After-School Catch-Up Tutoring program to ensure Seniors at risk of not
passing a subject are required to attend after school to ensure they
receive support to put them back on track.
- Ensure
OP-eligible students receive more support from QCS consultants Matt Rigby
and Lindsay Williams.
- Support our
students to ‘read to learn’
