Prospective students and their parents should ensure that they are familiar with key expectations of our school community, including expectations relating to behaviour, uniform and personal appearance. Relevant policies are outlined in the Student Planner provided to all students. For further information please view Pioneer SHS Student Code of Conduct (PDF, 2MB)
All new enrolling students and a parent or guardian are required to attend an enrolment interview with the Principal or Deputy Principal. Please contact the school on (07)49559222 to make an appointment. An information evening for Year 6 students and their families is held early in Term 3 each year. This information evening is designed to provide students and parents with information about our school culture, curriculum and support services. Students and parents have the opportunity to tour the school and to speak with staff and current students.
Scholarships are available to outstanding Year 6 students at local state schools intending on enrolling at Pioneer in Year 7 the following year. Academic, cultural and sporting scholarships are available and are sponsored by our Parents and Citizens Association. Further information and application forms are available on the
Scholarships page.
Prospective Year 7 students can also apply to join our exciting new Learning Excellence at Pioneer (LEAP) enrichment program. The LEAP program is an innovative enrichment and extension program offered in partnership with CQ University.
