Pioneer State High School is a vibrant, innovative and inclusive learning community of over 700 students and over 80 teaching and support staff. Pioneer's vision is to be 'partners in learning for the twenty-first century in an innovative, inclusive and caring community.'
Our school has a strong tradition of excellence in academic, sport and the arts. In 2014, our Year 12 outcomes for Queensland Certificate of Education attainment and vocational certificate qualifications were well above the state average. Our innovative LEAP enrichment program delivered in partnership with CQUniversity provides outstanding enrichment and extension opportunities for our most able students. Pioneer is part of the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy and an AFL School of Excellence.
Scholarships for Year 7 students in 2016 will open mid-year. Enrolment information sessions will also be held at Pioneer and at local primary schools mid-year.
